Duni Group enters a circular partnership with Bower - an app that turns waste into rewards
Since 2021, Duni Group has been working towards ambitious sustainability goals and by 2030 Duni Group will be circular at scale, have net zero climate emissions and live the change. Meeting these goals requires collaboration with other like-minded organizations and stakeholders throughout the whole value chain. It's about finding the best sustainable solution for each customer, whether it being single-use or multi-use, and enabling and educating customers and consumers about composting, recycling, and reuse.
Now Duni Group is partnering with Bower, a company that has developed an app that allows consumers to deposit all the products that have a barcode. So now Duni Group's customers can earn money by sorting their waste.
First among the registered products in Duni Group's offer are all consumer packaging from BioPak in the Nordic markets.
"For us at Duni Group, the partnership with Bower is an important step in the right direction and in line with our goals to be circular at scale by 2030. What happens to our products after purchase is beyond our control, which is why it is so important for us to find partners that make it easier for our customers and for us to close the loop. Bower is an app that allows consumers to easily scan used packaging and earn recycling points. These points can be converted into discounts, cash or donated to charity which is a strong incentive to get more consumers to start sorting and recycling more. We look forward to this collaboration." - Maria Rudenschöld, Head of Marketing North East at Duni Group.
Bower was founded in 2018 with the vision to make recycling fun, educational but also rewarding. Together, we are working for a world free from litter. Today, Bower collaborates with many major consumer companies and has over 385,000 app users.
"The market has been missing a solution that makes direct communication between consumer and producer available. Bower enables brands to actively encourage their consumers to recycle more. Packaging suddenly takes on a second-hand value. With financial incentives, we can change the perception of used packaging. What was previously considered waste now has greater value, meaning we can finally benefit from the huge investments being made to switch to recyclable packaging and similar solutions. We are so proud and excited to be working with Duni Group," says Suwar Mert, CEO of Bower.
