Duni launches recyclable and 100% plastic-free Spirit of Christmas Crackers
Leading supplier of innovative table top concepts and accessories, Duni, has launched a new range of sustainably created Christmas crackers which are 100% plastic-free and recyclable once used, as well as FSC certified.
Duni’s ‘Spirit of Christmas’ crackers are part of its existing and award-winning ecoecho® range, offering hospitality businesses an innovative, sustainably designed alternative to typical Christmas crackers, but with even more feel-good factor.
Made from 100% plastic-free, recyclable materials that are traceable through to source, the new range not only supports the eco-movement but also addresses social responsibility challenges, whilst still delivering the festive feel good factor diners look for at Christmas time.
As well as leading the way in helping businesses reduce their use of unnecessary plastic during the busy festive period, at least seven per cent from the sale of every box of crackers will go to charity Shelter to help provide vital support to thousands of people struggling with bad housing or homelessness.
Gareth Brown, Market Development Manager at Duni, commented: “As a company we are always striving to offer more sustainably designed products to our customers, so we are really excited to launch the Spirit of Christmas crackers. Shelter helps millions of people every year, providing much needed support during the festive period, so by using the Spirit of Christmas crackers, companies will be supporting a worthwhile cause as well as giving their customers a fantastic Christmas experience.”
“Leading the movement towards more sustainably designed crackers, this product provides customers with a real a point-of-difference to deliver not only a memorable festive experience but also a ‘Christmas with a Conscience’.”
The new range has been introduced to complement Duni’s existing range of ecoecho® sustainably designed tableware, so hotels, restaurants, pubs and caterers can create cohesive Christmas table concepts that have been designed with the environment in mind. Andy Harris, Director of Fundraising at Shelter, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Duni this Christmas. The funds raised via the sale of these innovative new crackers will support the work we do to help people struggling with bad housing and homelessness across the UK, at a time of the year that is especially difficult for those who find themselves in need of our support.”
